MLM Sucks and so do you! A Letter from a former MLM Looser who is now a Winner!

The following name has been changed to protect the identify of this individual and is true event. Jim is not this persons real name and contrary to what I initially felt about him, he is not a MLM idiot.

I don't give a damn what you say, MLM sucks and so do you! I have a few things I want to get off my chest, and you are going to damn well hear them, screamed a voice into my ear at 5am on a beautiful Sunday morning! He continues on with....

	You told me that anyone can make money in MLM....that was a lie!
	You told me that I could start with a little bit of money and grow my business into a full-time income...that was a lie!
	You told me that I could build my business part-time with only a couple hours a day...that was a lie!
	You told me that I would not have to be a sales person and chase family, friends and coworkers... that was a lie!

I couldn't believe my ears...a quiet Sunday morning interrupted by a rude, abusive and totally clueless idiot. When I was finally able to squeeze in a question, I asked "Jim" if he had even taken the time to review the Cash Machine web site. His response was of no surprise - I even half expected it...

Those of you that know me well, know that I don't suffer fools long. As far as I am concerned one less MLM Idiot in our industry - is all the better for the rest of us that work hard to enjoy the fruits of our labors.

Look Jim if you can't see the magic of what I have shown you, then you need to keep your day job and forget about being an entrepreneur and home business owner. You are either too lazy or unwilling to follow simple instructions and I can't help you if either of those are true. 	To Jim's surprise his traffic and site rankings started to increase that very week!

Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth. Oh, never mind. You will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they've faded. But trust me, in 20 years, you'll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can't grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked. You are not as fat as you imagine.

Don't worry about the future. Or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubble gum. The real troubles in your life are apt to be things that never crossed your worried mind, the kind that blindside you at 4 pm on some idle Tuesday.

Do one thing every day that scares you.

Sing...

Don't be reckless with other people's hearts. Don't put up with people who are reckless with yours.

Maybe you'll marry, maybe you won't. Maybe you'll have children, maybe you won't. Maybe you'll divorce at 40, maybe you'll dance the funky chicken on your 75th wedding anniversary.

Whatever you do, don't congratulate yourself too much, or berate yourself either. Your choices are half chance. So are everybody else's.

Enjoy your body. Use it every way you can. Don't be afraid of it or of what other people think of it. It's the greatest instrument you'll ever own.

Dance, even if you have nowhere to do it but your living room.

Read the directions, even if you don't follow them.

Do not read beauty magazines. They will only make you feel ugly.

Get to know your parents. You never know when they'll be gone for good.

Be nice to your siblings. They're your best link to your past and the people most likely to stick with you in the future.

Understand that friends come and go, but with a precious few you should hold on. Work hard to bridge the gaps in geography and lifestyle, because the older you get, the more you need the people who knew you when you were young.

Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you hard. Live in Northern California once, but leave before it makes you soft.

Travel...

Accept certain inalienable truths: Prices will rise. Politicians will philander. You, too, will get old. And when you do, you'll fantasize that when you were young, prices were reasonable, politicians were noble, and children respected their elders.

Respect your elders...

Don't expect anyone else to support you. Maybe you have a trust fund. Maybe you'll have a wealthy spouse. But you never know when either one might run out.

Don't mess too much with your hair or by the time you're 40 it will look 85.

Be careful whose advice you buy, but be patient with those who supply it. Advice is a form of nostalgia. Dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it's worth.

But trust me on the sunscreen."

Freedom To Live Your Dreams Takes WORK

Do you wish you could get you downline to stay motivated?

Sometimes one of the reasons our downlines cannot stay motivated is because they often times will evaluate the leader to see if they can duplicate what they are doing. If you are one of those networkers who has two speeds, it is time to find a new gear. What I mean by that is this. Are you one of those people who is going like mad non-stop, from morning to night recruiting, calling, and promoting with your hair on fire, or are you one of those people who just can't get it started (i.e. your dead in the water)?

If you are the first rather than the latter then you are most likely teaching your people that you will do everything and anything to make your business work. The problem with this is that you are most likely doing things that your new downline should be learning how to do or doing for themselves (i.e. duplication). If you are not careful two things are sure to happen:

1. Your going to burn out and soon you will have depleted yourself of your natural enthusiasm, and energy - now your dead in the water, and that's no good!

2. Your downline will see that first you were doing the near impossible, and they were thankful of everything you were doing for them, but now you're burnt out; so they quickly say, hey that doesn't look duplicatable nor does it look fun - this is not for me thank you!

At the same time you don't want to do too little because inactivity weakens your Network Marketing muscles. When working your business strive for balance in your personal life as well as your networking career. Your downline needs to see that it is possible to build a business steadily and profitably, Think of your network marketing business in the terms of a Relay Race. If you recall, in a relay race the next runner is always moving forward but not at full speed, rather they are pacing themselves so that the other runner doesn't have to come to a complete stop to hand off the baton. It is the same thing in Network Marketing, by not burning out (i.e. standing completely still), you will be able to easily maintain consistent momentum as you run your own track of success.

Lead by example, and make sure your example is not only balanced but attractive to those who are looking at you as their role model, and future sponsor.

The Burrito Story

The MLM Genie Tells His Story...

Hi this is Phil Correia and I have to be brutally honest, I'm a lazy Genie and I don't really feel like positing a bio and blabbering on and on about my professional accomplishments - who the hell wants to read my resume anyways!

What I will tell you is that I like many of you, I also got involved in MLM through a friend who didn't know jack crap about making money online and neither did his sponsor (i.e. the upline) and by the time it ended, I had over 50K in credit card debit. My first introduction to this amazing, rewarding and life changing industry damn well almost proved lethal and nearly cost me everything dear to me; my family, my friends, my career, my savings, my spirit, and at one time almost my life. Yes I did get so depressed that I serious considered quiting life. So when I say I can help you go from a MLM loser to winner I say so because I did it! When I hear people talking about quiting - I think about the night I almost did exactly that...

That night has a story behind it since it transpired in a distant corner of some parking lot at a Taco Bell in Elgin, Illinois. All I can say is that today my life is a success, and after reading my story if you still don't feel I'm qualified to speak about success - well google yourself up a list of success coaches and gurus. I tell it straight, I tell it true, and I tell it as it is...

THE BURRITO STORY:

In 1996 I was sturggling to make it in Network Marketing, I had bounced from company to company marketing everything from vitamins, water filters to electronic home alarms. When I say failing, I mean doing everything my supposedly "all knowing" upline was instructing us to do - only to keep falling behind. If I did get a check, it was immediately used to buy more leads, pay phone bills, or buy more product to qualify for another check. Looking back on it, I think I was in some kind of self induced MLM haze.

It was about this time that I lost my only lifeline, my full-time job with AT&T. I quickly found myself with no job, on unemployment, and trying to keep my truck payment made, as well as gas in the tank so I could go on interviews; all this while keeping my 600 sq ft townhome out of foreclosure. I found myself borrowing money from one credit card to pay another. In short, I was approximately 50K in credit card debt (dream destroyers is what I now call them) and I had only enough money to buy one Taco Bell Bean Burrito (no onions) and a large water for lunch and the same again for dinnner. I was so humiliated, that I would drive between four different Taco Bell restaurants just so the people that worked there wouldn't realize how pathetic I had become.

I spent my days listening to motivational tapes, calling prospects and my downline trying to land that one person who would help me turn things around, but things only got worse. I was overweight, emotionally drained, and spiritually broken.

Then one very fateful night, I had just picked up my bean burrito and had parked my truck in the back corner of the Taco Bell parking lot. Everytime I think back to that night, I can feel a tightness in my chest, and my eyes begin to well up with tears.

So anyways...there I am sitting in my truck, it was a cold windy October night. My sole dinner compaion that night was a tattered dumpster gate that banged and squeaked in the cold wet night winds, all while I listened to yet another self help audio tape. As I sat there chewing on my burrito, I caught my reflection in the rear view mirror. I saw a face in the mirror that I no longer recognized. How did this happen to me! At that moment I realized that I had become the very thing I always swore I would never be - a failure in every sense of the word. I literally broke down sobbing like a baby, alone crying in the dark night,under the cold sterile parking lot lights. I was for the first time in my life truly terrified...

This was the moment where everything changed for me. I looked at the face in the mirror, and yelling back at it, I roared... "Either start working this business as a business instead of as a part-time hobby, or quit, and get your fat ass a job - enough is enough!"


That night, I went home, opened the sliding door to my second floor deck. and threw every thing out into the night. I decided right then and there that everything had to change. Everything from my past went over the rail that night. Old company literature, old leads, old notes, even old clothes - I cut myself off entirely from my past experiences.

The next thing I did was to look for a product that would help me with my health. I found such a company called Life Force International. Their flagship product was a liquid supplement called Boby Balance. Within days of taking that product my health started to change for the better, I then learned of their amazingly profitable, and simplistic compensation plan, called a Uni-Level. I was shocked to learn that while I was trying to make money on 5% of my sales, this company was paying its distributors a whopping 40%.

I was still massively in debt, but I knew in my gut that I was on the right track. I started shopping for an upline team to work with and thankfully, I found a gentleman out of Texas by the name of David Borque. It was through him, that I met the team that would play a major part in my success. I then called the company to inquire about getting a product catalog, and how much it would cost. Again I was surprised when they told me that they would mail the catalogs out to anyone I wanted at no cost to me - FREE!!!

In the first few days I had catalogs sent to my warm market, and I called and shared with them how this liquid had changed my life physically and mentally. No Internet, No Instant Messenger, No Email Blasting - just a simple phone call and my own heartfelt personall story is all it took. I then had the catalogs sent to all of my previous distributors, again I shared my story with them. Then an amazing thing started to happen, people were ordering the product, and having catalogs mailed out. My first check was for over $100.00 and I couldn't believe my eyes.

In the months that followed, my organization grew from a handful, to hundreds, to thousands of people. In fact, my organization had people winning company trips, and bonues and my organization alone was generating nearly half a million dollars in annual sales volume. My checks were in the thousands of dollars - I had to pinch myself to make sure I wasn't dreaming! I was able to pay off all my debt, purchase a new home, furnish the home and pay for everything in cash.

I will never be able to thank everyone that made it possible for me to go from the parking lot of Taco Bell to the life I now live. Looking back on that night, it was the power of a decision, and the willingness to start again. So when people tell me that Network Marketing (MLM) is a scam, a joke, or that it doesn't work; I just tell them the Burrito Story, because I am living proof that Network Marketing is for real, and can and does change lives for the better - when treated like the business.
